I had an extremely busy January working on several commercial video projects. So, as a reward my business partner and I celebrated with some deliciously tender grilled beef kalbi at Shabu Tatsu in the East Village.
If you’re a carnivore I highly recommend visiting because the meat here is top notch and the different marinades compliment the beefy umami so nicely.
Additionally, part of the fun is being able to cook the meat yourself to tour own desired level of doneness.
I also highly recommend the Korean bibimbop at this mostly Japanese yakiniku restaurant and a nice carafe of hot sake to wash everything down. It’s the perfect way to warm up on a frigid winter day.
