How to Get Kids and Teens Cooking in the Kitchen Gift Ideas Featured

Authors: Kitchen Designs by Ken Kelly

The kitchen is a fascinating place for adults and children. It is where a family’s secret recipes are passed from generation to generation. Making it fun for kids and teens and getting them involved at a young age is probably one of the best gifts you can give them. Our kids (male and female) love to cook and bake. They are always in our kitchen whipping up something and have been doing so since they were small. We equipped them with many of the selections you see below. At gift giving time, we always add a new kitchen tool, appliance, or gadget for them to experiment with. These useful gadget “toys” are long lasting, and if they should happen to outgrow them, they make great items to pass along so other families can enjoy time together in the kitchen. We have found that when our kids do the cooking, they are more likely to eat what they cooked. When you have a sense of humor and make it fun, they’ll want to cook more. I can tell you… we have had many memorable breakfasts in bed. (See our client/online friends/family recipes here on our main website and some of our kids’ creations below.)
