I spent my Saturday morning at my surrogate family's house (Carly's parent's house). A lot of chocolate was involved. Same with caramel, sugar, peanut butter, and sugar.
It was about finding my peace in the kitchen. It wasn't about being healthy, but enjoying the company of good people and making some damn good holiday candies!
Carly's family gets together every year for an entire day of candy making and this year I was invited to help out! Seriously- love this tradition and Carly's crazy (in a good way) family! I was the camera man slash master chocolate drizzler I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
Melting the chocolate...
Homemade walnut candies dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with chopped walnuts.
Hockey Pucks: Ritz crackers + marshmallow fluff + peanut butter + chocolate
Chocolate covered pretzels
A little bit of everything...
Most interesting chocolate drizzle out of the whole day
What's your holiday family tradition?
PS: I'll be doing a little recap on my eating disorder sometime soon (hopefully next week). I need to set some time aside where I write it all down and share my story in more detail.
Also- Don't forget about my 20% off PV.Body Code....it's good until the end of the month: http://pvbody.com/try/fitfoodiefinds.
