Hello brown rice syrup.
BRS really does do the trick. It keeps the balls nice and compact. I also like BRS because it doesn't have such a powering flavor like honey does.
Almond Butter Chews
Ingredients (yields 14-15 balls)
-1/4C almond butter
-1/4C brown rice syrup
-1C millet puffs or puffed brown rice cereal
1. First melt your almond butter (if need be).
2. Then, transfer into a medium sized bowl and add brown rice syrup and mix.
3. Add millet puffs and raisins and mix until it becomes one big almond chew.
4. Roll dough between your palms to form balls.
These are pretty much the perfect after workout snack: whole grains, healthy fats, and protein. I'll take 10!
